MMR measles mumps and rubella

You may be aware of the rise in Measles cases in West Yorkshire. We are continuing to follow government guidelines regarding this.

We are sending vaccination invites for children who have not received 2 doses of the MMR vaccine.

Following this we will be sending invites out to adults who are not up to date with their vaccinations.

Two doses of the MMR vaccine are needed for maximum life-long protection, with the first dose given around a person’s first birthday, and the second dose given at around three years and four months.

However, anyone can catch up at any age on any missed doses and it’s never too late to protect yourself.

If you have questions relating to the MMR vaccine please don’t hesitate to contact the surgery.

You can check your vaccine status by uploading the NHS app.
