Patient Access
This page explains how we arrange our appointment system and how to make an appointment.
Appointments may be made online, by telephone (0113 4677499 option 1) or in person. Please make one appointment for each member of the family who needs to be seen. We try to keep to time but please be patient if someone before you takes longer than planned. Appointments are normally ten minute slots and so if you have a complicated problem, or more than one problem, please ask for a longer appointment. It is practice policy to allow patients to choose whichever doctor they wish to attend in the practice.
Routine appointments are available for such things as existing medical conditions, medication reviews, results and other NON URGENT medical conditions, these are bookable in advance.
On the day appointments are ONLY available for URGENT medical needs such as shortness of breath, chest pains, infections, elderly / vulnerable patients and poorly children.
The reception staff will offer the next routine appointment unless you feel your condition requires an on the day appointment.
Some ailments can be dealt with by your chemist so please ask for Pharmacy First for such things as coughs, colds, sore throat, fever, thrush, earache, teething, sprain or strain. You can get FREE advice from the pharmacist and medicine can be supplied and is free of charge if you are exempt from prescription charges.
