Overseas travel advice and vaccinations
Travel immunisations – As a patient you need to ideally have your travel immunisations in your system for 10- 14 days before travel, where possible you should request at least 6 weeks in advance of your holiday to book for a routine appointment.
Please complete the holiday form reception and the receptionist will book a telephone appointment for a week later which will give the nurse time to get the notes and see which injections are needed. The nurse will then book you appointment when she telephones.
If the patient is not within timescale then they should be referred to the Travel Clinic.
Midway Pharmacy Beeston has recently sent a flyer that they are also providing chargeable travel vaccinations.
Travel vaccinations are not urgent medical problem so if there are no routine appointments available patients will have to attend a travel clinic.
