Urgent Care Clinic

What to do if your problem is urgent?

Due to increased demand for appointments the Partners have reviewed the way we offer our appointments.

ROUTINE appointments are available for such things as pre existing conditions ie: heart, diabetes, asthma or COPD etc. medication review, results and other non urgent medical conditions. These appointments are bookable up to four weeks in advance via telephone, calling into the surgery or online booking.

On the day appointments are only available for URGENT medical needs such as shortness of breath, chest pains, infections, elderly patients or poorly children.

The staff will offer you the next routine appointment unless you feel your condition requires an on the day appointment.

The receptionist may ask you for a brief summary of your problem. This allows us to make sure you are safe, occasionally we might suggest another service such as minor injuries or A&E. We understand sometimes things are personal so of course, you have the right to decline to tell the receptionist.

HUB

We offer early morning and weekend appointments in our HUB at Priory View and are currently looking to secure further funding to extend this service further. You can see a GP, have a health check, or have your bloods taken.

Demand for appointments within our 5 practices is very high, so having the weekend appointments does ease that a little and with further funding (if agreed) this will benefit patients even further.
